Letters in Motion
Nocturne is an independent film festival celebrating the intersection of cinema and night culture. The opening titles needed to set a mood of anxious beauty — the feeling of a city after midnight, when the extraordinary becomes possible. Kinetic typography was the natural vehicle.
Creative Direction
We built the sequence around a single typographic idea: letters that assemble from darkness, tracing the contours of a city skyline before dissolving back into shadow. No music underscoring — only ambient urban noise layered beneath the sound design, giving the piece a documentary quality that felt honest.
Format
2-minute main title sequence in 4K + 30-second trailer cut, 16 festival ident bumpers at 5 seconds each, full motion guidelines for in-venue digital signage.
